Ontario family-law support
A clear path for eligible divorce-only matters
Our service connects you with an Ontario licensed paralegal who holds additional Law Society authorization as a Family Legal Services Provider. The authorized professional reviews each inquiry before accepting a matter.
What “FLSP” means
An FLSP is an Ontario licensed paralegal with additional Law Society authorization to provide certain family-law legal services. This offering is limited to eligible divorce-only applications and does not cover contested or unresolved family-law claims.
Is this service likely a fit?
The authorized provider completes a conflict and scope check before accepting any matter. A file is generally within this service when all of the following are true:
Potentially within scope
- You want a divorce only, with no other claim.
- The divorce is joint or is not expected to be opposed.
- Both spouses ordinarily reside in Canada.
- At least one spouse has lived in Ontario for the full year before filing.
- Parenting, support and property issues are resolved and are not being claimed in the divorce case.
Outside this service or needs further review
- The divorce is disputed or expected to be opposed.
- You need parenting, child support, spousal support, property, equalization or other relief.
- You need an annulment or a divorce severed from other claims.
- Either spouse ordinarily resides outside Canada.
- An existing case, hearing, deadline, safety concern or power imbalance requires additional review.
An inquiry provides preliminary information only. The authorized provider determines whether the matter is within their professional scope after a conflict check and individual review.

Start now: your preliminary divorce intake
Complete the form below so the authorized provider can review the matter for conflicts, permitted scope and suitability. Tell us your preferred contact method. An intake is not acceptance of your case and does not protect a court deadline.
Please do not upload identification, financial records or evidence at this stage. For an urgent matter, contact an appropriately authorized legal professional directly.
Frequently asked questions
Can one professional act for both spouses?
Potentially, in a qualifying joint divorce-only application where the professional requirements for a joint retainer are satisfied. This requires conflict screening, informed written consent and an individual suitability review.
Can this service resolve support, parenting or property issues?
No. This service cannot include unresolved parenting, support, property, equalization or other corollary claims. We will recommend that you speak with a family lawyer where the required work falls outside the authorized provider’s scope.
How long will the divorce take?
Court processing times and the circumstances of each file vary. Expected steps can be explained after review, but no completion date or outcome can be guaranteed.
Does making an inquiry make me a client?
No. A paralegal-client relationship begins only after conflict and scope clearance, formal acceptance and a signed written retainer.
